Cleaning Makeup Brushes

This isn't running related, at all. However, I felt the need to blog about my Pinterest experiment. with cleaning my makeup brushes. I came across a pin on how to clean brushes. The pin can be found here: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/91197961178704093/

Anyways I decided to give it a try with the same ingredients.

One by one I started cleaning my brushes. I just swished each one around in the mix. Some longer than others. Then I rinsed each brush with warm water and laid out to dry.
Yummy stuff huh?! I will now be cleaning my brushes weekly with this simple method.

If you are on Pinterest be sure to like / repin that pin!! It's a keeper!

There is my tip of the week!

Recap of the last 2 weeks

Sorry I've been quiet. It's been a very busy, fast passing two weeks.
We started last weekend with a girl's weekend get away to celebrate my Sisnlaw getting married.
This weekend was her bridal shower. Ah fun times. Just don't ask how much running I've done.

I packed running clothes for our weekend away. I really did. The running just didn't happen. We walked quite a bit. Part of the time I was in heels.

My legs look amazing! My best feature I think.
We did lots of dancing! I mean lots. Followed by another mile walk back to the resort. This counts as my exercise for the weekend right? Sleep was my friend. When Fabulous didn't get up to run, I was okay with that! Sleep was much needed.

We went to a piano bar the next night and that was just as fun as a night of dancing.
Who knew?! I have never been to one before, but will so be going back!
Our weekend was full of laughing! We had so much fun just catching up and laughing over everything. From guys and their witty lines they tried using on us, to my crazy & wild actions!

Coming back from a weekend away definitely caught up with me. I was to exhausted to run, workout or do anything. I was in bed by 9 most nights. Pretty sad stuff huh?
Yesterday was Sisnlaw's bridal shower. What a lovely time it was. Lots of laughs and love to go around. I am super excited for her special day! 2 weeks and counting!

September is here already!

We are 5 days into September. Unreal!! This is a crazy month for me. My Sisnlaw gets married this month!! That means, bachlorette party, bridal shower, and lots of last minute run arounds! Oh on top of normal daily chores! Let the craziness begin this weekend with her bachlorette party!!
We are going out of town for the weekend. I am excited for this get away and of course I have packed running clothes because there is a fitness center! YA! I am hoping to get up and go run! Even outside would be a nice run, the view is beautiful where we will be staying! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures.
The last few days flew by. I went out to Orlando for a day to take care of my girl friend's daughter while they welcomed their newest addition to the world. We went to Disney World, it was hot, but not crowded at all! I managed to get lots of walking miles in so I skipped running. I treated myself with a Dolewhip float. I enjoyed every minute of it too! No guilty feelings!

Every time I walk down Mainstreet U.S.A. I think back to Fabulous and her marathon. I stood across from the Indian and used that as a landmark so she could keep an eye out for me. She had no clue what I was talking about but I had hope. It was cold, very cold.  There I stood waiting and hoping I wouldn't miss her and Kelli run by. I stopped by the Indian and took a picture to send to Fabulous to let her know I was thinking of her. I love my best friend!

Disney is ready for fall, now only if the weather would get the memo!!

Bad Run Day

They say not all runs are good runs. This is very true. Yesterday's run was not good. At all. It was hot; (nothing new, I have pretty much adjusted to it).  However, I just couldn't get into the groove of my run. I felt off. Then after 20 minutes of running I started to get like a tingling sensation in my knee. It wasn't painful but tingling. I had to stop and walk a few times from that point on. I thought about just stopping and saying screw it and then of course the tingling would go away. Figures right? I would start back up running and within a bit, the tingling would come back. (it felt like as if my leg was asleep). It was very annoying! I finally started walking and said I'm done, there is no point. I checked my Nike app and I was at 27 minutes.  That's when I told myself I was going to finish my run. I had set out for a 30 minute run. I was going to finish it.  I ended up doing 32 minutes. My distance was below the normal, but I finished my run. Finished. It wasn't my best run. I didn't even like it, couldn't stand it. It's done though.  I didn't even stop to take a picture that's how over it I was. Now I'm past it and moving forward.
Today is rest day. I'm going to enjoy it too. My body needs a break.

Who else has bad runs?

I found this quote, I need to remember it.
